A guided tour of Villa Haw Par offers an insightful journey through one of Asia’s most distinctive cultural landmarks. Originally built in the 1930s by the Aw family, the villa reflects a legacy shaped by philanthropy, enterprise, and cross-cultural exchange. Today, it is home to a renewed mission that brings together heritage, creativity, and forward-looking ideas.

During the tour, guests explore both the villa’s iconic spaces and its more intimate corners, discovering how its gardens, rooms, and architectural details trace narratives that span generations. From the Aw family’s historic contributions to its evolving role as a setting for contemporary programmes, the experience offers a thoughtful perspective on how tradition and innovation continue to coexist at Villa Haw Par.

Located on the hillside, the villa also provides serene views across the surrounding landscape – a must visit for any visitors in Hong Kong.

Located on the rooftop terrace, the Villa Haw Par café offers an elevated, open-air setting with views across the surrounding landscape. Visitors can enjoy a selection of light refreshments in a relaxed and airy environment—an ideal place to pause before or after a tour, or to take in the villa’s unique atmosphere from above.

The café follows the villa’s main operating hours and closes at 5:30 pm.

BOOKSTORE

A Situated on the 1/F, just off the main reception rooms, the Villa Haw Par bookstore presents a curated selection of books on art, architecture, cultural history, and contemporary practice. The collection also includes publications related to Villa Haw Par’s exhibitions and programmes, as well as design objects and thoughtful gifts inspired by the villa’s heritage.

The bookstore is open during regular villa hours and closes at 5:30 pm.
